Christina is passionate about helping people navigate the overwhelming path of loss and the challenges that life brings. She aims to offer a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can process their experiences, gain insights into their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and develop skills to empower them to find healing and transformation.

 

Christina earned her master’s degree in social work at Case Western Reserve University. She is trained in EMDR and assists children, adolescents and adults with a variety of concerns, including grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She utilizes a trauma-informed, collaborative approach with a variety of treatment modalities tailored to meet the needs of each client. When working with children and adolescents, she also incorporates play and expressive arts.

 

She is a Fellow in Thanatology (the study of death, dying and bereavement) and a member of the following organizations: National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC), Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC), Portage County Suicide Prevention Coalition and National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Phyllis works with adolescents and adults, walking with them through their grief and life journey. Using clinically tested and evidenced-based interventions she has worked with many, both individually and in specialized groups for grief. As a licensed professional clinical mental health counselor Phyllis focuses on grief and trauma while also empowering individuals to overcome obstacles with anxiety, trauma and depression. Phyllis is an EMDR Trained Therapist and a Fellow in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement (FT). Phyllis earned her degree from Kent State University. She is a professional member of American Counseling Association (ACA), Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) and Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC).

Rebecca (Becky) Neal-Celusnak, LPC

Becky received her BS in Human Development & Family Studies in 2014 from Kent State and completed her Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Heidelberg University in 2018. Since graduating, Becky has had the privilege to work with a diverse group of people, ranging in age from childhood to older adulthood. Becky prefers to take a client-centered, cognitive approach to counseling, encouraging clients to challenge negative or irrational thoughts that can develop into mental health concerns, such as depression and anxiety. Becky enjoys working with adults needing support with grief & loss, transitional issues like starting college, a new job, a baby, or other phase-of-life concerns. Becky also has experience serving clients with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma. Becky believes that everyone has the power to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. Becky is a member of the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC).

Alexandra (Ali) Sommer, LPC

Ali is passionate about working with individuals, groups, children, adolescents, and members of the LGBTQ+ community that are undergoing the many challenges associated with grief, trauma, and mental health in general. Ali believes in creating a safe and welcoming environment for her client's to process through grief and other mental health concerns. By pulling from various theories such as Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, as well as incorporating mindfulness practices and narrative techniques, Ali believes in taking an eclectic approach to counseling as each client is unique in their needs. Ali received her BA in Psychology and M. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Kent State University and is a member if the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC).

Jacqueline Bonitati (Pronouns: she/her) is a graduate student earning her M.E in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Jacqueline strives to create a safe, comfortable, and collaborative space for clients to express themselves. She understands the importance of meeting clients where they are, and that each person’s experience is unique. Therefore, her therapeutic approach is individualized and client-centered. Throughout her education at Cleveland State, she has become passionate about grief/bereavement and trauma-informed therapy. Jacqueline recognizes that seeking therapy can be intimidating and that life can be difficult and unpredictable. She looks forward to providing an environment where clients feel at ease and is ready to support them as they gain insight, learn new coping skills, and navigate the complexities of being human.  Jacqueline is a member of Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC)

Ross is a clinician at Kelly’s Grief Center who is currently completing his masters degree at Kent State University and obtaining a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He primarily see’s children and adolescents, but loves to work with anyone. He strives to help others find peace in their lives, and deeply cares about all of his clients. He practices through a person-centered and Gestaltian lens. Ross is certified with the Ohio Counseling Association, When he’s not counseling, Ross can be found with his friends, watching basketball, playing video games, and is almost always smiling.

Lisa, our Administrative Assistant has 35 years of experience in Health Care Administration.  Her passion is ensuring that clients/patients receive the care they need in a timely and professional manner.  She has a pleasant demeanor and always willing to assist clients with whatever needs they may have. Lisa is an advocate for clients and is often told by many patients how appreciative they are for all she has done to help them resolve a concern whether its helping them to better understand their insurance, a billing statement, scheduling or simply just listening.
