We are seeking a part/full time Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW or IMFT). Previous experience working with children, grief and trauma is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide individual, family or group therapy as needed

  • Provide therapy for children and adolescents

  • Develop a therapeutic relationship with each client

  • Conduct diagnostic psychosocial assessments

  • Attend conferences and workshops to maintain professional competence

  • Participate in community outreach and events

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of groups, or seasonal programs for clients and families

  • Maintain timely up-to-date documentation utilizing our Electronic Health Record

  • Work flexible hours

  • Work some evenings


​Qualifications:

Minimum educational level: Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, with a valid Ohio LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW or IMFT license.

 

About Kelly’s Grief Center:

Kelly’s Grief Center provides mental health services in a private non-profit setting. We specialize in grief therapy but also treat clients experiencing mental health disorders such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, and ADHD. No client is turned away based on inability to pay for services.

College Internships

Graduate Internship positions

 

Kelly’s Grief Center offers graduate internship opportunities. Graduate Interns will see clients individually, assist in running grief support groups, receive individual supervision as well as experience how a non-profit operates. A commitment to two (2) consecutive semesters for the internship is expected.

Undergraduate Internship 

 

Kelly's Grief Center offers undergraduate internship opportunities. Undergraduates may serve by committing a minimum of 6 hours a week by assisting in a variety of roles. Please fill out our volunteer form by selecting the button below to select areas willing to serve.

VOLUNTEER

Interested in volunteering at Kelly’s Grief Center? 
We would love to have you be part of our team! 

Volunteers are needed for:​
 

  • Setting up and cleaning up meals prior to groups

  • Baking desserts for groups

  • Making folders for groups (inserting materials)

  • Delivering flyers/brochures to community partners such as funeral homes, school counselors, Mental Health Agencies, Doctors’ offices, Hospitals, Mental Health Boards

  • Assist at events

  • Assist at Fundraisers

  • Clean the Grief Center (dust, sweep, mop kitchen floor, wipe down furniture)​

All volunteers will need to have brief training and sign a confidentiality form.

Group Counseling

We will be offering groups via telehealth this spring scheduled to start the week of September 12, 2022. 

  • Accidental Overdose (10 weeks)

  • Perinatal Loss (10 weeks) 
     

  • Suicide Loss (10 weeks

  • Spouse/General Loss (8 weeks)
